I got the infamous Azenis but,...
Don't you guys notice these tires are a little heavy?
I weighted my stock wheels with some wore 205/50/15 Kumho's (sp?) on them and they weighted in 33.5 lbs. Never weighted the wheel with the stock RE0's when I bought the car.
I'll weight the wheels when I install the Azenis to verify my foundings...

Yeah, they're quite heavy for the size they are...but they're awesome for the price.

whats so heavy about them.
they literally are about 212-213mm and are agressive street tires.
they will weigh much more than a used set of so-3's....
heck they weigh more than a used azenis.
I had about 35% tread left on my old set of azenis and the weight comparison is as follows.... (same scale)
new tire = 21.5 lbs.
used tire = 15.6 lbs.
edit: corrected some typos and missing letters. im typing like a chimp while at work and eating

play with your air pressure... the azenis are strong enough to handle lower starting temps. I've run repeatedly @ 100 degree ambient temps for 20-30 minutes without a problem. Kansas heat/humidity sucks.

sure they are....heavy.
I would suppose that would have to do w/them being so damn stiff.
Im my Lude the azenis were much stiffer/responsive than my 17's Paradas.

I ordered from one of my distributors in Pennsilvania.

weight of 15x7" rota slip = 12.3lbs
weight of wheel and Azeni = 36.6lbs.
The scale that I used was a monthly calibrated floor scale =/- .1 of a lb. Not your average bathroom scale
. Tires and wheels were new and never mounted on car before weights were taken.

We were starting out at 31/32 psi up front and 35 in the rear. After about 15-20 mins out on track they got greasy and didn't stick well at all. This was in a 2200lb. with driver EF Civic.

Yeah, Azenis is heavy. I guess it's due to the 3 ply side walls? Most high performance tires like S-03 and Pilot Sports (I had these before), the side walls are 2 ply. Hmm...that explains why the side walls of the Azenis are so damn stiff.

nothing will be perfect, especially for the best bang for the buck tires
