Azenis Owned!! or Shave some weight off your tires!!
The tires were fine a week ago, I was at about 1 mm before the wear bar. After a camber adjustment this is what I got.
Here it is compared to the rear tire
And like the title says, this is how you shave 3.5 lbs off your tires, is this really better ? hmmmmmm
BEFORE
and this one has about 1000 miles on it
AFTER
camber adjusment and a week of driving to work and back.
Now, does anyone know where I can get a pair in the bay area by tomorrow????
Thanks

What the hell kind of camber adjustment did that? And in a week?

I put -.75 on the left and -1.5 on the right. This was from recommendations on a thread a while that Austin started and you were in too.
It has me completely stummped how fast it wore out. I checked the tires when I installed the camber kit, and I am using the quick Race camber gauge to check.
Now I need a new pair by tomorrow for Saturday autocross!!!!

Camber won't wear a tire out like that. I have -2.1 degres of neg camber in the front and don't have tiree wear like that.
Go vback and check your toe settings!!

I got an alignment done about 3 weeks ago and the front was at 0 and the rear at -1.6. I bought the Skunk2 camber kit to fix that. I had a set of Azenis before this ones and never got this problem until I put in the new camber kit.
Asahi - that is what I keept seeing here, people have way more aggressive camber than me. I am getting an alignment as soon as I get new tires on, I can't check the toe myself. Well at least not yet and or precisely.

Camber adjustment kits are notorious for having the bolts slip. Did any of them move?
Otherwise I think your toe alignment is off. (maybe both if the bolts slipped)

I just checked the camber and they are at where I left it. I am using the Long Acre dunlop style adaptor to check the camber, unless this does not really work for my wheels, which I don't see why it wouldn't

I am going to keep a close eye on the new tires.

Righto! Extreme wear like that means that your toe settings are F'ed up, NOT the camber.

i run my toe 0 in the rear and 1/8inch out the front....ive had for about 2-3 weeks and they look brand new.
I got the alignment done at Firestone near my house. they were done with the front and rear toe when they were goign to start working on the camber, then I noticed they chipped the rim, so I bitched them out and they said they would have to keep taking the sensor off and on. Anyways in the end they never adjusted the camber, I did not pay and they are supposed to take my wheel to get it repowdercoated. Maybe the tech fucked it up just to be a dick.....
Ask around for a reputable alignment shop in your area and get that thing back in because something isn't right for sure...
No way such a small camber would wear your tires out like that.
Keep this in mind:
adjust the camber FIRST, then adjust the toe.
Because with the sliding upper balljoint type of camber kit, toe changes a lot when you make a camber adjustment.

I am going to take it to Custom alignment in Mountain View next week. Meanwhile for Satruday I am taking it to Speed Merchant.
THey are on the spot. Your camber should wear the insides of the tire? You are def toed in. I would take a hot mouth over to the place that did it for you. A new set of fronts would be my only retribution

They rock, I've been there. Tons of cool cars parked in front everytime I went there... like the pristine 57 chevy with rollcage and fat slicks in the back...

sorry i cant believe it. those tires are almost bald. there's no way a weeks worth of driving did that. unless you sat there and did 7-minute burnouts before you drove to work.
Gotta got with Custom Alignment, probably the best shop in the Bay Area.
I went there after putting new rear trailing arms on (don't ask) and after they straightened the car out out, it's decidedly the only place I'm going to take my cars to for alignment jobs.
Well worth the trip...level of professionalism, quality of work, service, courtesy are extraordinary.

A long time ago when I worked at Sears, a ZR1 came in for a vibration problem. I checked it out and her front tires were showing belts. They were just put on that day down in Miami and she got as far as Daytona Beach. Apparently she had a new steering rack and four new tires put on at a chevy dealer in Miami and they didn't align the car after. There was over a inch of toe in. Smoked $700 worth of tires in six hours on the highway.
Sorry to see that happen to your tires bro.
Make them pay!
