do a cylinder leakdown test

The 10k motor could be in worse condition then the 100k, you never know until a test is done.

On a healthy H series motor, 8psi is safe. 9-10 is pushing it considering the ringlands like to break at this boost level. Some people get away with it but it's better to be safe then sorry.

i agree. your might be asking for some trouble by boosting a stock h-motor.

people are claiming h23 is safe for 6-8 psi
h22 8-10 psi...

Those are stock, and tuned...

Im not that planning on boosting stock... i just wana know if their motors will blow up soon enough...

i would go the other way around , since the h22 has a higher compression, i would only boost 6-8 and the h23 has alittle bit of a lower compresion ratio and i think 8 is pushingit, but thats me

How can we answer your questions when you cannot phrase them properly? Grammar anyone?

I wish i could do my 100+K h23 with a custom turbo kit for $2K and get away with it..
then ill step-by-step and slowly do the pistons, sleeve, and crank...
then when more money comes, ill do the head work, cams, springs, titaniums stuff, porting, polishing...etc...

my guesstimate price when im done with the engine is 7000 plus labor... (tax or shipping if applicable)

If id blew my stock engine, theres a short block for 4-600 there i think.. sigh i dunno anymore...

I have been running 10psi...stock block for 2 years now. It is tuned with hondata. The car is daily driven 100+ miles a day..and sees 10psi regularly as most my driving is freeway. No problems yet. I am revuilding soon, but that is just for more power

yeah the whole (6-8 psi on h23 and 8-10 psi on h22) is bullshit. but anywayz...i turboed my car for 2 k even. 1500 for kit and 500 for install. the kit had less than 5,000 miles on it. it was complete with everything except injectors which cost me 50 bucks. Details? we cant give you details unless you are more specific in your questions. how much boost do you plan to run? what is your final goal? you will save a lot of $$$$ if you do more at once. Be more clear on your topics and questions and you will get results quicker. One more piece of advice....Boost that baby now!
