yes just depends on how good ur tuner is. but basically 10psi everyday is fine but its upto u really its even safer to run 7psi just research around the site ull find tons of good info

psi means nothing and is irrevelant, you go by whp not psi. 10 psi on an 18g is completely different from 10psi on a gt35r, we need alot more info on your setup

i would say depends on the condition of the motor.
those frm liners are finicky
get a compression and leak down test done before you do anything.

hahahaha you all just said the exact same thing basically in different words. Dude what size turbo do you have? **** the milage and condition yaddya yadda yadda. The most important thing said in all these posts is what the tune is. Get neptune or something like that maybe s300 spend the money its worth it, go to a repuatble tuner put it on 10 lbs and have fun with it. Maybe later throw a set of arp headstuds and a fresh tune up on it. The tuner will help you with the details later.

Its been said a kazillion times, different turbos make different power at the same pressure level, so never base a goal on psi. High cylinder pressures, detonation and poor tuning is what blows motors, not psi. Your tuner will use whatever pressure (psi) your setup will give him to make the hp goal you decide on.

I have a stock h22 that is boosted, i didnt really have any horsepower goals when I had mine done, i just decided what psi i wanted to run, put the kit together and had a tuner dyno tune it. yes indeed, tune is everything. here are the numbers i was able to make and the kit i have:
stock h22 (head and block)
aem fuel rail
skunk 2 intake and hondata intake heat shield gasket
rc 750cc injectors
walbro 255lph fuel pump
s300 installed in p72 running hondata boost control/solenoid
garrett 60 trim journal bearing t3/t4 turbo
3 inch custom down pipe heat wrapped
greddy type rs blow off valve
turbosmart ultragate wastegate with 10lb spring
with all of this installed and after 4 hours of tuning at a local shop, honda heaven, my car with proper tune and fuel map, was able to produce 365whp on the final pull at 10psi, have now been running this set up for over a year, no issues.
one thing that helped me, the tuner told me to get a oil restrictor for the oil line feed to keep from blowing oil seals. but yes, TUNING IS THE KEY HERE!!

what size restrictor did you end up getting i pretty much have the same set up and the turbo is blown due to no restrictor on my oil line

Re: How much Boost can a stock H22 handle??
1) Do a compression test and a leakdown test.
2) Find out the max power your motor can handle.
-PSI doesn't matter. The turbo's CFM is what decides the power you get from your turbo.
3) Pick a power goal within the limits of your motor.
4) Pick a turbo that meets those goals
5) Go get tuned

Re: How much Boost can a stock H22 handle??
Torque and RPM are the two biggest engine killers.... Good tune or not... You can have a tune that is spot on, and still lose a motor due to a cracked sleeve or broken rod... Torque is directly related to cylinder pressure, which causes cracked sleeves, then when you add high RPMs into the mix, these dinky Honda rods start to let go... Just a matter of which goes first....
