In the market for swaybar any suggestions??
I am in the market for a sway bar for my 97 civic ex 4 door. I would like to hear some of you guys thoughts on this. I currently have a spoon rear lower bar on.
Progress rear anti-swaybar, but I think you'll have to eliminate your Spoon rear tie bar. I use a Progress on my 97 EX sedan and absolutely love it. Do a search for more posts on recommendations.
i love my comptech sway / tie bar, it's some real quailty stuff. but since you already have the tie bar, the itr bar with beaks kit is probably a good idea. i wouldn't use anything other than those two, because of the numerous horror stories i've read about subframe tear out from people with other bars (suspension techniques, and skunk2).

You can use one off a 1999-2000 Civic Si. It will fit your car with no modifications, and, with it, you will not have to worry about tearing the subframe because the bar is only 13 mm in diameter. Most people here (and everywhere else) will tell you that that bar is useless because it is thin, but a 13-mm bar is better than no bar. I am selling the complete rear sway bar assembly off a 2000 Civic Si. Check out https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=697337.
Hi Daniel,
I see from a post that you have a Progress rear sway bar. I'm interested in this set up, but I'm wondering how difficult the installation is. Could you please let me know of your general opinion on the install? Thanks a lot.

I've got a ST rear sway and it hasn't torn yet from road racing. I really don't know how people tear their subframes with these things?

I would suggest a
OEM ITR 22mm rear sway and Comptech Endlinks...
cheap setup, uses all OEM Honda parts minus the Endlinks...
but great upgrade to the handling of your honda...
I got it on my ride and all is well......

well what do you want outof your car?
swaybars can do alot to how your car handles.
yeah, bodyroll will be diminished, for sure,
but depending on how aggressive you get, your car could get kinda squirly for a street car.
the suspension techniques bars are really good for a street car in my opinion, they arent as gnarly as the22mm the masses seems to be obsessed with nowadays, but they are very good, and everyonethat i'veheard of that has em really loves em.
they're cheap too!
