Cam Gears-4th Gen Lude
I'm thinking of getting a set of adjustable cam gears for my 1993 Prelude Vtec Turbo, but I'm not sure which is the best set of gears to buy(quality/degrees of adjustment and increments). Also, will this be a good way to spend my money or is it not worth while? I would appreciate it if you guys could advise me on this.
Thanks
Thanks
Cam gears are never a bad idea if you get a good brand.
I chose Unorthodox Racing... and I love them.
Some people might like others. DO NOT GET AEM OR STR!!!!!!!!
Pick something with more then 3 bolts. I got 5... some other companies have 6.

Where did you buy them? How much did you pay? Also, according to their website they give recommended settings, what are these settings and what settings are you using them on?
Thanks
Thanks
I know your settings would not work on my car, but I just wanted to know what were the reommended settings they give. Could you get them at the price you got them for me? I'm from Dominica in the West Indies and to ever $US dollar it's equivalent to $2.7 in my currency. So every dollar I can save will be great. I'm on vacation in NJ right now.
What about the Skunk 2 gears? The only disadvantage I see with them is that you can only adjust in 2 degree increments instead of 1 degree increments.
Thanks

I have the venom polished blue ones they are great. forgot where I got em from. Had them put in with +2-4 or was it -2 +4. anyways they work great haven't given me any problems and they look killer with the fangs and the cut off gear guard.

skunk2 is the cam gear of choice for many enthusiasts in quest for the highest quality gear at a good price. I myself will no doubt get these, if I do choose to get cam gears.

Thanks to all who replied. I purchased a set of Skunk 2 gears $180.00 shipped. I think I got a really good price. If anyone is interested I'll have to ask whether my supplier would like me to tell the world or not.

Here's an old pic, look on the far side in the mirror reflection and you can catch a glimpse of them:
