white smoke with oil consumption
engine specs:
rebuilt 1.8 block with b16 head.
two layer head gasket.
skunk2 stage 2 cams, internals and so on.
background info:
blows white smoke selectively. usually happens when "dipping" into vtec, but not everytime into vtec. usually the first couple of times into vtec......doesn't seem to have a definite pattern though. have checked coolant. no water in coolant, no coolant consumption. does not run hot. consumes oil, but not a large amount (maybe a quart every oil 3000miles) considering CR, cams etc. before rebuild smoke was bluish (oil), now white.
thanks for the help and info. furhter, does any know a "good" and trustworthy mechanic with plenty of experiece with "THE B-SERIES" in central florida? i know this is debatable, but nothing worse than leaving your ride with someone you don't trust.

i was always lead to believe that white smoke was burning coolant. (someone confirm or appose plz?)
u said your not loosing coolant? is that in the radiator or overflow container? check to see if the overflow container has gone down
my unprofessional opinion would be u got a bad head gasket?
~waits for his analysis to get torn to pieces~

I had a crappy machine shop mill my head before... as a result of the shop's worksmanship, the head was not flat and the engine burned coolant. I took the head off and bought it to another machine shop and had them redo it -- problem solved.
