GSR + Eibach Pro Kit + what shocks?
what do you guys think a good shock is for the pro kit? or do you guys have another reccomend spring even. i know koni yellows are the best but i dont want to lay out the $$$$.
Thanks,
Thanks,
I have KYB AGXs mated to my Eibach Pro-kit springs. The ride is similiar to stock on the softest settings and can be more agressive when the shocks are stiffened up.
hehehe many know my answer
koni yellows, I know they are kinda expensive, but i would just save up the extra 100-150.....
other then that i hear that kyb agx is the best bang for the buck, 350 i think....somewhere around there

as for another spring. i can't say enough good about the H&R/Neuspeed Sport Springs. Sure the lower more and are stiffer, but they handle very very well. no scraping either. and i think the ride quality is perfect on them. HTH
i have koni yellows on my car and they are great. if you dont wanna shell out the 500$+, definitely check out the kyb agx's. all i hear is great things about them and personally i think its your best bang for the buck.

I'll be the 3rd to say DEFINATLY the KONI YELLOWs are 1st choice. I wouldn't trade mine for any other shock out there.
The way I see it is if you have to replace something, get the very best replacement available so you only have to do it once and have no regrets.
For example, my radiator cracked... why would i get another radiator from honda/acura that i already know will eventually crack. Fluidyne seemed to be the best out there and I've never heard anyone talking about their Fluidyne cracking, so that answered my question. Just put a little money aside each week so when something has to be replaced you will have some money set aside. It helps take the burden from your wallet.
Good Luck

If you can't afford new Koni Yellows, try to find some used ones. I'm guessing you may not want to get a used set...if that's the case, I urge you to save up that extra $150 to get them new.
Otherwise, I'd recommend the KYB AGX...though KYB won't warranty a shock that has been used to drop a car more than 1.5". You should have no problem with that since you're getting the Pro-Kits.
I was in the same situation as you when looking for shocks...but I would not settle for "second best". As mentioned, you might as well get the best if you're going to replace anything. You won't regret it.

<DOHC ACURA> Pennywise kicks ***!!!
sorry to be off topic everyone.
The choice is really yours... either way an adjustable damper is what you want; i mean why go this far and not get it ? ? In my opinion there are two shocks to consider without going over-board. The choice you make depends on the ride you looking for. #1: kyb agx's- they amount to a little over stock shock at the stiffest setting then soften. #2: tokico illumina's- the softes setting begins a little over stock thn stiffens up even more.
Personally I prefer the tokico's because I demand performance; i enjoy my car's response to every bump on the road......
Good luck!
