What mufflers do you guys have and what doesnt drone or get raspy. I have a stainless 2.25 catback with a header.

do a search & you'll find out apexi ws or RSR are probably the quietest choices...but those are full catbacks and not just a muffler...

Get something tuneable with a silencer.
Another person got a Greddy SP for a 5gen & resonator then put on a smaller tip (it was 5" stock) he put on a 3" tip and it quieted right down.

I'd like to know db readings for different exhaust applications. I'd like something aftermarket and free flowing but as silent as possible, axle back or cat back so long as it doesn't drone and can sound wikked when I want to open it up.

Me too ! I posted a thread about that a few days ago (was about Thermal) but any dB rating (of course along with measurement method) would be welcome..

one option you could look into is the Moroso spiralflow muffler. it cancels out a specific sound frequency in the exhaust but at the same time minimizes backpressure, they install after cat/pre-muffler. Jegs sells them for approx $48.

id go with the stock muffler too which is what i have. header and 2.25 exhaust. Dont think thats too good though with the whole bottleneck thing but i think it sounds great. Its loud when u get on it and perfect when ur just chillin.
