Stupid question
I don't know if this relates to ITR's or not, but since I have one, I'll post my question here. I see people writing things like EG, EK, EK9, what are these abbreviations? Also, what is spoon? Sorry to ask the question, but I don't know. Thanks!
I'd like to actually, but I'll have to play it by ear. It depends on my workload at that point. You know, college and all. Thanks for the offer though! I'll definitely try. When you say Chassis codes, you mean like hatchback, coupe, sedan, etc? Oh yea, what the hell is OT? Other topic?
Kinda - more like EG = Civic from 92-94 (not sure of exact dates but its the idea that counts!!!) and DC2 = Integra 93-01. Then you have, for example, EG6 (hatch) EG9 (sedan) - once again just an example.
OT equals Off Topic, some people around here hate OT stuff and some love it. Its a topic thats been thrashed to death and pops up every two weeks or so and is thrashed again.

If you look at your VIN number, you'll see the chassis code in the beginning...all Type R's start with:
JH4DC231
JH4 = Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Acura Passenger Car
DC2 = Integra 3-door/B18C1/B18C5 (DC4 is B18B1, DB7 is 4door, DB8 is GS-R sedan)
3 or 4 (5 or 6 for sedan) = Manual or Auto
1 = Type R
4 = RS
5 = LS
6 = LS W/Moonroof
7 = GS
8 = GS-R
In japan, street racers refer to theri cars by the engine codes and not by their common names. Watch some initial D (an anime series that deals with japanese street racers), and you'll learn alot of chassis codes
