I was thinking about buying a swap 7 hours away but I have no flat bed truck to pick it up. My dad has a Infiniti QX4 SUV, Would that maybe work? Or is there no chance?BTW its a B18c with tranny

Hopefully the motor is on a palette or something that you can keep it on. I've transported a few swaps in a Ford Explorer which should have about the same space as the Infinity. Just make sure to secure it down inside and drain all the fluids as mush as possible. It would be a good idea to block off the coolant passages with some rags too.

you can also buy a cheap tarp to lay down before putting swap in then use some bungee cords to wrap it up.Don't forget to secure the swap to something inside vehicle so that it doesn't shift/fall over while in transport.
just my $.02

I used a 98 4runner to pick up my engine from HMO in SoCal/LA and drove down to San Diego, then back home in NoCal, granted it was only the longblock. Worked without a pallet, but with plenty of scrap carpet/cardboard. *Make sure you have something to tie it down with*

I used my hatchback when I bought my h22. Just fold the seat down and get some wood so it won't mess up the seats and a tarp. I had to raise my car up about 2 inches on the rear coil-over and the rear tire was still tuck. Plus it was also like a 6-7hour trip.
