Default b20 block or head work?

i got to make a decision by Febuary, my car is out of because of a distributor problem right now but it will be up and running soon. while it is out i will be doing alot of things to it or maybe thinking bout it 15 hundred to spend and i was thinking of either doing a crvtech (b20 block/b16 head) either that or spend almost the same amount with a skunks stage 2 cam, skunks cam gears, unorthodox pullys. can't decide yet. i want to stick with the allmotor and want to do something cheap and make my cx faster than what it is right now.

Definetly B20. You can get a shortblock for about $900. I know two guys that steped up from ls/vtec to cr/vtec, and the power and torque gains are sweet. It is definetly noticeable, especially if you are steping up from a b16. Just make sure you do it right and don't cut corners.
