Default plastic polish on glass

Has anyone ever used any kind of plastic polish on their windows? Something like meguires plastix or something similar. I figure it doesnt scratch plastic, so it must be ok for glass, but just wondering if anyone has used it on their windows to get rid of all that road grime and crap that just never comes off with washing them.

This is a good question. I have surface scratches on my windshield and I would like to know if I can buff them out?

i'd highly doubt that it would buff out scratches, seeing as glass is a very hard substance and only scratched by ceramics and diamonds for the most part.... i don believe the abrasives in these polishes are enough.

My scratches are from the wipers. The lines run with the path of the wipers. Prolly from the wipers running dry w/ some dirt or grit on them. Previous owners suck

I wax my window.

As far as plastic polish, I'm not sure.

I've used plexus/plexall on my windows. They aren't scratched so I don't know if it will fill up scratches. It is a very mild polish. It is safe, you might want to give it a shot?

There are glass polishing techniques out there. I read it somewhere on s2ki.com.

well, i'm not saying those are THE ONLY ways, but they surely are the easiest, but i'd be more than wiling to guess that the scratches in your glass are more little chips then actual scratches....

if you doubt me tho, try anything you want to scratch glass....doesnt happen easily, and prolly not with this type of polish.
