Spark plug cover nuts...
I know this sounds stupid, but....
Does anyone know where I can get sparkplug cover nuts (oem ones) for relatively cheap?
And does anyone torque them to spec? Yes, I know I must be a dumbass, but I lost 3!
First I figured I could just finger tighten them and get on it with a wrench for a turn or two, since the cover is plastic I didn't want to crack it...
Then I open my hood a couple weeks later, and now I'm missing one and the rest are pretty loose... so I break out my ratchet and socket them down tight this time...
Next thing I know, another couple weeks I open my hood for some work and bam, another two are gone! I'm like what the heck? So this time, I really get on it and tighten the sucker, I figure I'm at the brink of cracking the plastic...
I don't want to be using loctite for something stupid like this...
Anyone actually crack their cover tightening the nuts? Or lose them like I did? I know it's a cosmetic piece pretty much, but still... I'm not building a show car, but I still don't want my car looking ghetto...
hehe...

your valve cover nuts can be lose as well, tighten those first under the spark plug cover, and then cover it and tighten the other nuts again. go to the dealer to get them, shouldn't be that expensive...max 10 bucks?
try to find some used or ask the dealer for the size.
those nuts are freaking expensive @ the dealer. @ oakland acura, they were trying to charge me like 20 bucks for 4 of them...
