RCA cable question

I am using an amp strictly to power subs, is it necessary for me to run both the left and right channel RCA cable to the amp for a signal?

Im pretty sure i need to use one....just want to make sure though

What is the amp and how are you running it. Bridged, just one channel?

bridged two channel

its an emerson 4 channel 800 watt amp

Some amps benefit from the two signals, even if you are running them mono. Some amps take advantage of double the input signal strength to reduce the amount you have to turn up the gain on the amp.
