Default upgrading sub using LOC

Hi guys, I been wanting to upgrade the stock sub to a better one, but not sure how to do this. The car is 16' Acura TLX, so I assumed it has a built in amp somewhere. So my question is if it is alright if I tap the factory subwoofer cable, connect it to the loc and to another amp or I have to disconnect the subwoofer cable from the dash?

LC2i - AudioControl

This whats needed to do the job correctly. The sub feed will roll off at high volume and leave the new sub and amp sounding like crap.

oh ok. I did saw the LC2i, but wasn't sure if connect the loc from an amp to another amp would work or not. Thanks!
