Its an awsome looking header, I'm in love. I know I need a 2.5" highflow cat, and
from what I hear car sound cat is the way to go, but is there a certin model I
should get? Also will this header and cat bolt right up to my stock excaust or do I
need to modify it? Last should I get 2.5" straight pipe to stock mufler or is it not
worth it. I don't plan on going much further than intake (done), header, Highflow
cat, and possible excaust, and I don't want to lose power, or will the straight pipe
make more power on my basically stock R. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Talk to Mike @ IPS Racing (TypeRmsm)...he should be able to hook you up with a Carsound cat for your application!
if you purchase the 2.5" straight through cat (i believe model # 94006) you will need an adapter for your current exhaust...this will benefit you in another way as well, by removing the first bottleneck in your stock exhaust. Also, it will allow you to bolt on a 2.5" exhaust at a later date...
I too, have done the same and definitely recommend it!

would it be ok if I get the header & carsound cat installed, and just weld 2.5" straight pipe all the back to stock excaust? Or is it for some reason better to get the adapter with the 2.5" straight pipe to stock muffler? Does anyone know of the pros & cons with these setups?
Has anyone seen a dyno graph comparing the jdm dc to the jdm 4-1 itr header? What about caompared to other jdm and performance headers?
Actually If you are referring to making a new B Pipe going to your stock exhaust then Yes that is better Much better

...look for SMSP as I think his 2.5" CarSound is around $180ish with all gaskets and hardware... can't remember if that includes the 2.5" reducer to get rid of the restriction right after the cat...
A modded 94006 will bolt right in. Now if you plan to run the stock exhaust for a while I would recommend one of my adapters also. However, if you go with all 2-1/2" tubing from the cat to the stock muffler without using a resonator, your exhaust will sound more raspy. Note, even if you go with 2-1/2" tubing it will still need to be enlarged slightly at the B flange so there is a smooth transition from cat to B pipe. If you will only run a test pipe this is not required.

a) it gets rid of the bottleneck
b) you need a 2.5" flange to mate up to the carsound cat...

I hear that I need a flex pipe between my JDM header and highflow cat, because of front wheel drive. Is this true? wont this affect the flow of my excaust?
