I'm not all to smart when it comes to the suspension of cars , in any case... I just bought some used Neuspeed Race Springs for my 93 Si and I have been told that the drop isnt any more then 2 inchs or so in the front and rear. I just wanted to know if I will need a camber kit for either front or rear, and how long can i go with stock shocks. Anyone with pictures of their Eg's with these springs? Thanks in advance for the help .

 

Some people last a month on stock shocks and others a lot longer. Just depends I guess.

I wouldn't worry about a camber kit until you know you need one.

I had those springs on my old EG and had some bad *** camber, didn't bug me much though. I'd look into a camber kit though.
My stock shocks lasted about 6 months but if you have the money, replace the shocks asap.

 

you don't need a camber kit. camber does not eat tires that much at all (a tiny bit). after you get your springs on, you'll need an alignment, and get your TOE set to 0 all around. TOE is what eats tires - not camber. the only reason you should get a camber kit is if you want to run a specific degree of negative camber, or you're real **** about your tires.

 

this TOE, is this something i do myself or i have done when i get the alignment done? thanks.

it's one of the 3 angles you can adjust when you get an alignment. well, actually 2 if you don't have a camber kit.

like this would be the bottom view of a car with caster:
front wheels: /=/------------/=/ (or the opposite direction)

either Koni Yellows, a bit much for my budget, or Bilstein Heavy duty shocks which are a bit cheaper, anyone?

Toe is the "in" and "out" positioning of the wheel.
Caster is the "forward" or "backward" positioning of the wheel.
Camber was already answered.
