questions about shifting
Hey all,
I was wondering if you guys encountered this...
Everytime I shift from 2nd to 3rd in my GSR, it clicks into 3rd gear, it's hard to explain but it does not shift smoothly as before. Has this happened to anyone else?

Hey Guys,
Thanks for your help. Well the car is pretty new...less than 5,000 miles
But I took it to the dealer today and he test drove it with me and said everything
was fine. He says it is normal for it to click..
Thanks

A little CLICK is okay it is more than likely just the notchiness, a grind though is not.
i did this a few times when i started stick myself, it literally goes GRRRR and you can feel it grind like teeth on gears. happened whenever i didn't shift all the way, feel like hell, thought i'd completely killed it

Sometimes I encounter notchiness like you did...make sure you change your tranny fluid after about 40-45000 miles I believe. Use Honda MTF or maybe even Redline.
This may be a dumb question, but how do you know if you're grinding the gears...
This is my first manual car.
