Door is open, keys are out of ignition, car is still beeping?!
My car just randomly started doing this ****. I take my keys out of the ignition, open my door and it beeps like the keys are still in it.
Not really much else to say about it, I am not able to lock the doors from inside now lol. Any help?
It's a '93 4ws si model

just stick the key in again and wiggle it around while you pull it out. Mine has been doing that for so long i dont remember when it started
The same exact thing happens to me. It only happens sometimes, though. Sometimes if you kinda pull up(towards you) as you pull the key out and pull it out really fast it works. Other times I just have to lock the passenger door manually and then lock the driver's door from the outside with the key.
Mine used to do this all the time right after i used a back-up key i had made. if you hit the underside of the steering column really hard with your hand it will release the piece that is stuck. you'll hear it click if you hit the right spot. after doing this for about a year, mine stopped and hasn't done it in a couple years.
haha, i was wondering what part i had to hit
. Sounds like the lights on my climate controls, have to hit them to light them up

yeah mines been doing this ever since i owned it, either wiggle the ket, or take the key out of the ignition and just hit the place where you put the key in with your thumb or whatever. works for me, mine doesn't do it as much cuz i drive the car alot more

WD-40 usually works to free up a sticking key in reminder switch.
