Ok. I've been roaming around other Forums and other sites, such as http://www.newcelica.org , http://www.clubrsx.com , etc.

And when I post something up, they get REALLY defensive, and say how their Celica's NEVER lost to GS-R's, and how an RSX-S can rip a door off of a Type-R, and how Si's are the fastest 4 bangers out there... etc.

People are so biased!

anyway, my question is, so are the new Celica GT-S' really that fast? If I look at magazines, they're right there with GS-R's, Si's, Eclipses, Preludes, etc. give or take. They're all in the same neigborhood, but people on the Celica boards say how they beat Preludes by 6 cars, and how they never lost to any Integra's, etc...

Are they BSing or are the Celica's really that much faster??

 

Total BS'ing if you ask me. It's gonna take a pretty sick car to smoke a gs-r or prelude by 6 car lengths.

 

The GT-S and GS-R are very similar...what it all comes down to is the driver.

 

Every message forum is like that. I haven't seen one that wasn't like that yet. You just have to do your own research and make up your own mind about things. Nobody would have bought the car the bought if they didn't really think it was the best for them. I've never heard anyone here say anything like "I test drove the GSR and Celica GTS and thought that the GTS kicked the GSR's butt on every category....so I bought the GSR."

 

hahah LOL, true that...... a lot of people like to think they're the fastest car, it makes them feel better..... anyways, with drivers of equal skill, the GTS should win..... but even if the any driver is a little better it could mean the race..... it's that close

 

I honestly think the GT-S is faster than the GSR.

hey Jun, I just read your post on newcelica.org........ dood, if you need some filmers for your race against the celica I'm your man..... we got the digital video cameras and can do 2-3 angles of the whole run

 

Honestly the GTS is faster, but certainly not 6 car lengths faster (lol). More power and a bit less weight = GTS will win. Again, the gap will be minimal given equal drivers.
