Default Let's play...FIND THAT NOISE!

Ok this irritating noise in my hatch is pissing me off. It's like a squeaking noise coming from somewhere around the rear right side. I thought it was my suspension at first cuz on bumpier roads it gets more annoying. I recently installed tein s-techs. So I took all of that apart and redid it, double checked everything. Checked sway bars as well. No dice.

It could also be either one of my exhaust hangers or the donut gasket. I also just put the Spoon N1 on a couple weeks ago. I had to have a flange welded on so I put the used gasket on it as well. But it doesn't make the noise at a stop if I shake the exhaust.

Then it could also be something on the interior. It's not the hatch cover and it's not the fiberboard thing. Not the license plate either. I'm lost. Hoping it's the donut gasket but I don't know what a leaky one sounds like.

Oh yeah under 55 it's more when I hit bumps. But after that, even on a highway it becomes a constant chattering noise. Any ideas on what this could be?

If its like a squeek everytime u hit a bump or a hard hit of bass. might want to check and make sure all ur plastic panels are in tight. mine got on my nerves cause one was half way in and everytime i hit a bump it went in a lil and came out a lil

More of a squeak. Sounds like rubber/metal, or metal/metal.

Rear disc brake? perhaps its the wear indicator on the brake pads.

That was another thought I had. I did a rear disc swap but that was over 3 months ago. If all else fails I may try lubing those bushings.

I had an idea that it might be the dust shield on the shock. I should've taken those off to begin with.

sometimes the hatch lid latch can start squeaking. my other hatch squeaked like hell till i sprayed some lithium grease on the latch. voila, no more squeak. just an idea because that's what it sounds like.

mine did the same thing, but it was more of a clinking sound, after looking over everyting, i realized that all it was was the little clip that holds the brake lines in place. It was just rubbing on the metal.

Give me your ITR seats and maybe I'll think about it.

Anyway, I fixed the noise. It was a bolt on the e-brake cable bracket. I coulda swore I tightened them all up. Oh well, thanks for the suggestions guys.
