indeed. I learned to drive stick in one.

Everything else has been a huge let down.

The evo8 was pretty fun though

hell yea... here's a pic that he sent me last night... he used Menzurna IP + One Grand Blitz if I'm not mistaken.

and here are a few pics of the trunk off of a used '98 LS400 we just picked up the other day:

before:

after Meguiar's Dual Action Cleaner Polish:

after Meguiar's Swirl Remover #9:

after S100 Shine Enhancing Polish Cleaner and a coat of S100 carnuba paste wax:

sorry for the hijack Denny's work was done w/ a PC and white/yellow/grey pads, mine was done by hand

bunmango, are you on autopia?

nice results there. i have 2 containers of #9, p21s GEPC and some s100 wax here myself. just picked up 32oz of DACP.

question, do you think following with #9 was needed? As i understand it as DACP breaks up it gets very fine, similar to #9.

Do you use a porter cable? If so which pads did you use?

Nice work.

Yes, but I'm just a lurker. I haven't posted anything of value over there yet... I need to learn how to take good pictures first before I post any of my work Besides, seeing the results posted by Scottwax intimidates me a little bit

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94goldjungsr &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">question, do you think following with #9 was needed? As i understand it as DACP breaks up it gets very fine, similar to #9.</TD></TR></TABLE>

AFAIK #9 is more of a filler than an abrasive. I usually work the DACP for a while and follow up with #9. After that, I follow up with either 3m Imperial Hand Glaze or the S100 SEPC. I'm going to have to try some Menzurna out, Denny just got some in the mail last week. We'll be getting together sometime over winter break

I borrowed Denny's PC last week, but didn't get to use it on the LS. I used it on my dad's GS, but since it's pretty new, I just used a white pad w/ the SEPC before topping it off w/ S100. I ordered my own PC and it just arrived on Friday, but the pads won't be here until Monday

Thanks Denny and I are going to be getting together in a few weeks, hopefully we'll have some more pictures for you guys then

its GEPC

sounds cool. as I understand the DACP, once broken down, has filling properties similar to #9. Might save some time if you ever do professional detailing by skipping #9. :dunno: i will probably be using DACP then #9 on my personal car though- so i guess pot kettle black or something

ill post pics of mine soon, i just got a PC, cant wait to use it

actually, I used SEPC there's P21S and S100, which are basically the same thing- P21S is marketed towards cars and costs more, where as S100 is marketed towards motorcycles and can be found at Harley-Davidson dealerships. P21S calls their pre-wax cleaner Gloss Enhancing Polish Cleaner, and S100 calls their pre-wax cleaner Shine Enhancing Polish Cleaner. S100 SEPC is around $9, and the wax is around $15. I don't know how much the P21S equivalents cost, but I know that it's more than their S100 counterparts. Same stuff though

for me i prefer not to us DACP. That is just a last resort as it is very abrasive. you just have to try what works best with you car.

I agree, it all depends on the condition of your paint. You always want to try the least abrasive product possible first, then move on to more abrasive products.

i didnt realize s100 made the xEPC. I realized the other stuff you mentioned, but thought it only applied to the wax. i have s100 wax but p21s xEPC. In the future I will be geting s100
