Default losing mileage to the gallon?

weird, but i was having a talk wit my friend yesterday about our cars. he seems to be getting about 20 miles to the gallon, as i can only get about 13-14. once he heard that, he was screaming. he said that was terrible, and should do something about it. ne ideas out there that mite increase my mileage or ne reasons y this is happening?

That's waaaaay too low. Any Honda, unless heavily modified or racing all the time, should not drop below 20mpg MINIMUM. Mine consistantly gets 28 mpg in town/highway mix, with a/c on about half the time. On the highway I get 33 mpg with a/c on, 34.5 with a/c off, and I've got over 328k miles to boot!

Definitely get that checked out.... may be an oxygen sensor or something, but it could be a number of things. Something is definitely wrong though if you're getting that kind of mileage

you probably need a tune up. If your car isnt burning the fuel properly, it will lose hp, thus make the car work harder.

Don't you get a check engine light if the oxygen sensor is shot?
i have 97k miles, and i get on average about 26 mpg

the worst i have ever got is about 21 and the best is 29 on highway, once i got 31.
