B16a w/ JUN IIIs - what pistons?
Hi
What sort of pistons would people suggest that would work well with the JUN IIIs? Thinking along the lines of CTR oversized, this giving roughly 11.1:1 cr. What other options could i think about?
Thanks

11:1:1 comp is good for jun 3's but not good enough i would say try to at least go with 12:1 comp or higher that is if you have 93,94 gas in your area remember these cams love highcompression.
also by the way ctr os pistons will give you a 10:8:1 comp unless you opt for the 2 layer head gasket which will be just about 11:1:1

I thought they would give me 11.1:1 because of the b16a's shorter deck height?
What sorta pistons am i looking at to give me 12:1 cr? Im not wanting to sleeve the block or anything.

yeah it gives you 10:8 cause of the b16 deck. if you had the b18 block with your b16 crank with 81.25mm ctr pistons then you would get 10:5:1.
if you want 12:1 on your b16 you can go with some aftermarket pistons like je,wiseco.

Yes, it will give you higher compression because b16a's have a shorter deck height than the b16b... the b16b block is an ITR block...

Do you know what the cam gear settings were?
