dude, it sounds like you don't even know what it does. try searching a bit. the nipple activates the thing. and yes, it can handle 8 psi. i don't know about material though.

you might want to get a mounting flange or have one made to mount the BOV on...this is mine, just weld the mount to the IC pipe and viola

You sound like you don't know what you're talking about either. Anyway, the nipple is a for the vaccum. Hook up a vaccum line from that nipple to any one of the vaccum lines coming off the intake manifold. When the car goes from Boost to Vaccum the BOV will open. I think it's only steel not cast iron. But I could be wrong.

well you are wrong, becaue i do.

the pressure from that nipple along with the spring keeps the valve shut. when your throttle plate closes and there is vaccuum in the manifold, therefore vacuum on that nipple, the spring can no longer hold the valve shut so the pressure in the chargepipe is released.

does that meet your standards?

IF you have any more questions, im sure you could find some info through search, or just post it up and somebody (hopefully) will try and help.

I posted this question about 5 weeks ago you should have searched man. Iron Steel don't matter, mig the bitch on there. Making a flange would be your best bet though. just don't make the pipe so log like that one guy did on here b/c it'll restrict flow in the pipe and the air will have a longer distance to travel to the bov. ideally you should have the flange welded onto the pipe or just a tiny short stubby piece of pipe coming off of the flange then welded to the charge pipe.
