Default how safe a steering hook locks?

I was wondering how safe are the steering hook locks?
I have a cheap one, but even so, i was wondering if they can be broken and how easily can they be broken by theives?

They'll stop an amateur, but only slow down a pro for maybe 30 seconds. Won't go into detail of course.

I would not get the whole steering hook lock system. saw this thing on tv, all they did was take a hack saw to it more like 15 sec wired the car and boom there off! instead i would get a an alarm system and if you have an garage keep your baby in there.
