My battery just committed harakiri last night and I buried it at Autozone. $50 for a friggin' Duralast. After almost 6 years of ownership, the battery finally died. I'd say it's demise began when Stan and I decided to use my HID's to light up the area for a suspension install at night...20 minutes...dead. We boosted the battery that time just fine, and now a month later...it started acting up....distilled water helped for 4 days, but it ultimately died anyways.
My friends suspect that it's the starter that's causing all of the problems b/c of the load that it puts on the battery when starting the car. Well, after putting in the new battery, my car fired up a lot sooner (fewer cranks & cranked stronger too) than before when my old battery was working fine.
Or, is it the HID's? Oh well, we'll see in a few days.
