powerslot rotors? looks or performance?
did a search but found nothing,i need rotors and was looking at the powerslots.i heard they actaully work good but wear the pad quicker.
anybody have experience with these?
or should i just buy the brembo blanks for half the price?

I have the PS's, they definately work great. Even using stock Honda pads. But, if you use a more aggressive pad, it will wear the rotor down faster.
Project MU (phonetic spelling) is the best pad for the Slots if you plan on racing track style.
Otherwise, stock pads work good.

Slotted rotors are also known to eat brake pads like a V8 eats gas...
The powerslots will offer better stopping than crossdrilled rotors too..... More aggressive pads will p/slots stop faster, but aftermarket pads will even do that for your stock rotors just as well !
The slots make your ABS braking very rough, but they'll stop yer A** quick from high speeds without turning into mush.
I do believe, however, that the slots cannot be resurfaced (in a standard brake shop at least).... so you better not warp 'em....

Someone forgot to tell my slots that, it's been 2 years on the same pads, and they still have a lot of meat left.

I believe that the main jist of what X2BOARD was saying was in the context of braking while in race conditions. Street use wouldn't put anywhere the amount of stress on the brakes as racing conditions would. Slots are fine for street,b but blanks are better for racing - the more surface area, the more effective the brakes stop. You just have to worry about not getting blanks too hot.
For the street:
Slots = looks
Get Brembo blanks for half the price. I wouldn't use PSs if you are going to go to a track b/c the of the reduced surface area. Honetly, there isn't enough braking force from the stock calipers to justify that much trapped gases between the rotor and the pad. If you are tracking the car and will upgrade the whole brake system and decide that slotted rotors are necessary you shouldn't buy PSs anyway due to low quality (for a track car). The slots are also weak points in the rotors molecular structure (you can't take away material w/o getting weaker) and the slots will be the prime points for breaking.
However, you won't encounter this at your local autocross or on the street. So, paying a bit more money for PSs isn't that bad if you think they look better.

They work better but I don't know how much, cuz I installed SS brake lines, DOT 4 fluid (505deg boiling temp), and AEM/Nissin pads at the same time. So the combo I have kicks @ss, cuz I stop easy as hell. Wet weather braking is improved 2 fold, cuz there's no water or steam trapped between the pads, it all gets pushed out by the slots. i've had mine on for 6 month's now and the pads look new so i don't know how they wear quicker, and I'm no softy on the brakes. I have slotted rotors on my GS-R and I hate them. They do NOTHING for stopping power, the don't reduce fade at all (with non super-gaseous pads) and they warp even easier than OEM rotors. Sorry, but I'll never waste the $$$$$$$ on slotted rotors again.
thanks for the help guys...RE: the AEM pads i have heard they work pretty well. how much do they cost and where can i buy them online?
well i have some of the Axxiss metal matrix ones, I was going to put them on my car because of another autocrosser's advice, but i am about to sell my car and i don't need them anymore. I will sell them for 100 + 1/2 shipping, both front and rear. e-mail me at inigo9910@hotmail.com
I have heard great things about these pads, anyone want to back me up?

Slots...??? not the best option but I would say
just stick with the nnormal surface rotor and get some beefy pads like some Hawk BLUE's and watch the sparks come off of the rotors when you stop
hehhehe

I'll back you on the Axxis... I've never had AEM pads, but I know a lot of people that have told me to get cryogenically treated rotors (not slotted or drilled) and Axxis pads... I don't know the website for these rotors, but I have been told they are fabulous.

I just run OEM pads on the street and hawk blues at the track. I will run OEM rotors from now on, I made the mistake of buying powerslots once.. stay tuned for the pics of them being HAPPILY tossed into the trash where they belong. I think I might even shoot em up with a shotgun first, fugging worthless pieces of metal.
