I'm about to go from 85 shot wet single fogger to 100 shot direct port on my type R and I was wondering what upgrades I would need(i.e. fuel upgrades, ignition) right now I just have my timing retarted 2 degrees and I use regular 93 octane fuel and no problems with anything...I also have basic I/H/E cam gears, vafc, accel wires

 

Just asking, but why? NOS? On an R?

100 shot direct port you might want to upgrade your pump or put an inline pump you should be ok just keep checking your plugs. I have seen GSR's run 100 direct port before so your R should be ok

 

I would definitely get an external ignition and a coil to keep the spark burning strong. Also you are going to need a fuel pressure regulator and another fuel pump(larger intank or either inline) to compensate for the fuel. These are the things I used to run my old hatch with an ITR motor. The setup was a 80 shot direct port nitrous kit. The hatch actually ran a best time of 12.3@110mph at the NOPI Dragwars in Houston, TX in February of this year.

 

Direct port is the way to go however running a 100 shot is on the edge. You better make sure you have enough fuel. If I were you I'd use 80 max. too many stories I know personally didn't work out with 100 shot.
