thoughts on using a pyr computer with piggyback?
i've been reserching for awhile now for a computer to use on my 94 rs after i get it back from having the engine rebuilt. i would like to be able to fine tune the ecu on a dyno to get the most out of the mods, but i would also like to raise my redline to no more than 8k.
so here is my thought, i've looked at the shogun power tuner b/c that would do the three things i need, fuel, ignition, redline, but from what i've been told it only uses its tuning valvues at WOT, which doesn't work for me.
i am now looking at buying a pyr reprogramed ecu... it come with upgraded fuel and ignition maps along with a 8k redline, now i know this is basicly one of the one size fits all kind of chip and they will just be making guesses at numbers, but can i then install a apexi sacf and itc to do the final tuning on the dyno?
i have alos looked in to other standalone systems.. hondata, power fc, haltech, dfi, motec..... i just dont think i need that much tunability and i dont want to spend that much if im not going to use it. i am woried about hondata mostly because im unsure of the tuning and there is no place close to here that knows how to uses it, also i don't have a laptop to tune these systems.
thanks for everyones help
ps if you are reading this for a second time today sorry, just didn't get any replys at sho
