Default Should I run a dumped exhaust? any negative things?

From the engine I've got a JDM Dc 4-1 header and I'd run that into a 2.5in hi-flow cat. From there my plan was to run a section of piping from the cat into a long *** magnaflow round body muffler, talkin 22" or 28" or whatever I can fit (Compared to Twisted Si's 14" standard muffler), and then dump that off before the rear suspension. There would be no resonator (unless it was needed after initially hearing the exhaust). I think Twisted Si's exhaust sounds pretty damn good.

Do you think my idea will sound good ? Im going for the least amount of bends in the system without running piping under the rear suspension into an angled muffler.

Suggestions?
Anyone done it or heard a dumped exhaust on a honda?

He's right, I believe that eventually you'll become tired of not being able to hear anything while driving.

I dont really see how it would be so loud. I'd be running a cat and a huge muffler. The problems I forsee would be the resonance of the exhaust between the ground and the car. To combat that, I could have my turndown angle 45* down and then 45* to the side. What do yall think?

Not exactly the best logic, not everyone has money to throw around just to switch exhaust setups every week.

I dont have a muffler but do have the turndown, it helped, but 90db is loud no matter where its pointed

So what is your setup?... I don't think what I was thinking would be too loud. It be run through a carsound cat and then a 22" or 27" magnaflow muffler.

stock engine, dc header, highflow cat, about 3-4ft of pipping and a turndown. I would have had a new exhaust on months ago but I only drive the car a couple times a month to events. I will still probably be adding something new next year as a couple autocross sites have sound limits. I dont think it flows a lot better than the full pacesetter exhaust that was on, but it is 20# lighter.

what about adding an extra 22 inch resonator instead, they dont really restrict exhaust flow that much, i guess there's only one way to find out.

i "think" it's gonna be all raspy and loud, if you dont mind that(like you said in the reply above) then do it.
