can someone let me know a good tire for stock 15's for a gsr with ITR suspension?? should i get 205/50/15? or stick with 195-55-15? i really notice how much these damn stockers suck!! HELP
What do you need? Summer, track, winter, all season.......
Kumho are a great tire for the money.
REO-10's and S0-3's are better but more costly.
Mich. pilot alpine are good in the snow.
Dunlap 5000's are good all season.
Bridgestone Potenzas, try the Potenza RE950's or whatever they're called. They're all season tires I believe. My friend got them on his S13 Silvia (240SX) and they handled great. Tirerack.com gave them a great rating. Try going to http://www.tirerack.com for ratings on various tires for your car as well as checking out various tires within your budget. I also heard the Dunlop SP9000's were really good as well. Good luck finding a good set of tires! ^_^

I'd go for the Falken Azenis or Bridgestone Potenza RE-730.
The Falken Azenis has a better bang for the buck than the Kumho Ecsta 712s IMHO.
You pay around $6 more for the Azenis than you would with the Ecstas.
I'm dissatisfied with the soft sidewall of the Kumhos...but they're great tires for the price, no doubt. Rain performance is outstanding.
Did I mention how much they squeal?

kuhmo ecstas
best bang for the buck for sure
205/50-15

I have the Azenis (granted in 215/45/16); regardless, they are nice tires. If money and treadlife is a concern, get Kumhos. If not, get the Azenis, remember 200 tread rating

well im not sure how they stack up to the kuhmos but i really like my dunlop sp w-10's. they were about $70 a piece. they do not squeal whatsoever! and i have done more than 30 races at the dragstrip and two autocrosses on them and have got 35,000 miles out of them. i would like to hear from someone who has had both the kuhmos and sp w-10's and see which they prefer as i am due to change my tires and debating on which ones to get.
are Nitto NT555 good??? I need good tires for all season with good tread wire traction grip etc for daily street driven on the stock gsr rims. Thanks its 195/55/15 I believe.
Mark another one up for the kumhos. They take a good 500 kms to wear in, afterwards they are pretty sticky. They are also pretty quiet compared to the set of SP8000 I had beforehand. They do tend to squeel loudly near the limit ... anyways, I'm satisfied and would buy them again.
Hey - I'm in Ohio and I'm also thinking of replacing the stockers....any of these tires mentioned so far good in SNOW? Sounds like the Kumho's are good in rain, does that translate to the white stuff as well?
Thanks!

Kumhos are definitely not all-season tires. I was recommended against using them in the snow (unless I wanted to kill myself).
If you want something decent in the snow, rain, and dry pavement, get the Dunlop SP 5000s.

Too vague a question to get a precise answer. What are you mainly looking for in a tire - Performance, durability, etc?
If ultimate performance is the goal then you want really sticky street tires like Yokohama A520's or BFgoodrich Re0-10's.
If better than stock all seasonal then Dunlop D60A2 would be a good choice.
If cheap performance is wanted then the Kuhmo 712's would do.
Just don't get any Goodyear Seasonal Touring tires - they are worst than the stock Michelins! Goodyear tires....
Of course as youre in new Jersy and winter is coming in a few months I'd imagine you'd want a set of snow tires....as all the above aren't rated for snow. Best thing to do is have two sets of tires - one for winter on steel rims and one set of performance tires on whatever rims you have/like.

I'd say that you should get the Kumho's because the very fact that you are asking this question suggests that you aren't too overly concerned with having exceptional tires, but rather a good upgrade.
However, if you want some kick *** tires, get some Potenza S-03's... Only 150 a tire, but you get what you pay for!
And 730's are quite noticlby better than the Kumho's. And the 950 are great tires, but for my mom's accord.
And the 730, Kumho, S-03 and any other serious performance tire will suck in snow. My RE-71's were completely and utterly useless in the snow.

I myself have been looking for the best all-season tires.. and i asked the opinion of a Tuner shop in Santa Clara, CA. They told me to get Pirelli P-7000. They said they could get them to me for $139.00 each.. What do you guys know about these? Are they any good?
Oh' except mine are going to be put on a pair of 17' Konig Tantrums. :
