how to clear a CEL ?

Default how to clear a CEL ?

ok.. here is my problem, i lost my gas cap and now the check engine light is on my cluster, i replaced it with a new one but the light is still on, what should i do??
1) should i take my car to honda
2) we have a scanner at my school, is it easy to clear it by myself??

I think the scan tool will clear it for you, but I'm
not exactly sure how that works.

The other option is to reset your ECU (pull the
ECU fuse or take off the battery terminal for 5-10 mins).

there is an option on the scan tool to clear CEL's.. its as simple as clicking the phone book option on your celly

did u try disconnecting the negative battery terminal for a few minutes..

ok thanks guys, i disconnected the negative terminal for 5 min and the light came off, thanks a lot guys, that's why i love H-T so much
