Default Videos: NASA Lime Rock HPDE Nov. 10th...couple close calls.

These video footages were brought to you by Jason <M3Racer> and Edgar <Im_In_There>. It's a bit late, but it's better than never

On November 10th, R-Speed rolled out there for HPDE with approximately 10+ ITRs showed up. It was cold...only 30F in the morning, lots of run offs and close calls. For more detail, check out these archived threads:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=647392
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=674575

This footage is from a week before the NASA event...These cars sure looks alot more better on film than in pictures. Edgar shoulda ask the owner to pop the hood to see if these 1600lb beasties carry a B18C5 in it :hint hint:
I also have lots of nice paddock and group shots of ITRs, but since I don't want to reveal license plate, I have to call it off

This is when Edgar went off at the beginning of the Esses:

I am the CW in this video. The WRX spun due to the sun beamed in his eyes. At the same time I saw him spinning, the sun got to my eyes too and I made the call of going off the track since I am not sure how the WRX will end up. It may look far between the two of us, but from my view point, I was scared shitless
M3Racer who's about to roll me just went by like nothing happend...he has been through worst The havoc didn't end, Edwin <R 1366> behind the M3 chose to go off track with me and right behind him, another open-top race car spun out closely behind our cars. So basically, in the matter of seconds, 4 cars when off track

Here is one of Jason's clean lap...and a big, scary surprise at the end. Jason's M3 is one of the fastest in the intermediate group, the lap I recorded is around 1:09.
<32.2mb>

Finally, this footage is a close analysis of the most famous turns of Lime Rock Park: Big Bend and Esses. It is taken at different angles with a CW ITR and white DC5 duking it out..enjoy:

Anton, how about give me the tape this Sunday so I can edit it? It won't be done as long as it's in your hand

CW of which ones? There are only two CWs in there, mine that ditch out in Big Bend and the rest are Edgar's.

The reason for no blk or ylw R is that this tape belongs to Jason, not mine.
There are some footage of him rolling R's, if you guys want to see that

Okie, and I'll give you the Watkin's Glen videos with the walk through as well. I'm sure people are Still waiting for that walkthrough tape

So in your hands it will get done Eventually... Which is still better than in mine where it won't probably get done till Feburary.

I'll bring some nice printed pics (better quality) from my other link hopefully on Sunday.

that was me sir . and it was completely my fault for following the guy in the mini too close and making the rookie mistake of stepping on the brakes during the turn, a bad habit that i thought i had gotten rid of until i spunned. the reason for me getting so close was because the guy would not give me a point by even though I was on his *** most the time . so i was trying to build up the most speed through the turns to try to past him on the straights (Supercharged MINI's with upgraded pulleys are no joke on the straights ) cause this guy refuse to point me by, you can tell in the video that he was the leader of the train he was creating . In that turn i remember the guy was going fast and all of a sudden he slow down way too much. resulting in me trying to slow down during the turn, a big no no! then again if i wouldnt of try to brake during the turn i would of gone straight off. and plow the shitznit out of my lil ******. so i was screwed anyway. I learned my lesson dont follow too close.

In the other video i am the one also behind the RSX until i passed him. him and I went at it for a while.

nice vids Yao.

I learned I need new tires They were decent for my first track day, but I feel I could have been much faster and smoother with better tires. A lil more tuning, and nicer tires and Ill be ready for the spring and hopefully it wont be too long til I can roll in your run groups

whoa wait a minute, that sun must of definitely been in my eyes b/c I don't remember being behind the M3

I just remember coming around Big Bend and from the corner of my eye I see the WRX facing the wrong way in the middle of the track right before that left turn and see Ray go off-road.

man I give to Jason for keeping it under control

I wouldn't mind seeing it ...

Kyle - who didn't get rolled but had a hard *** time trying to keep up with Jason.

Edit - Just saw the videos. Jason.

Although it was an intresting scene I can not help but think it could have been much worse. That was (I think) the 2nd lap during that session, I was nott driving up to speed yet. When I 'm up to speend I don't down shift , I stay in 4th gear cresting the hill at about 90mph. If I where up to speed when that happened I am postive I would have t-boned that mustang. That mustang driver was a real moron

I have had couple of other close calls but unfortunately no camera in the car. Being passed in big bend, having the car in font of be blow his motor(litteraly couldn't see anything because of the smoke). almost rear ending a 9ll turbo because he was slow and hanving a Yellow type-r spin infront of me during the left hander at LRP throwing dirt all over my windshield.
