belts? spark plugs? ignition wire?

 

Timing belt, water pump...maybe oil pump, spark plugs, PCV valve, whatever is easy when the engine is out, but hard once put in....maybe a new clutch too.

 

BRAKES are a must if your puttin a B18 in there, exhaust mani-gasket. Check out all your belts and pulleys, axles, exhaust, fuel pump (optional). Also make sure you got the right mounts and brackets (rear tran. bracket).

 

i wouldnt go as far as saying replacing the brakes for a "B18" is needed
maybe when you are hitting low 13;s it would be a good idea

your budget should dictate what you should replace

True, he didn't say if it was an Si or not, if your working with stock dx its a must. Don't forget to replace the throttle cable.

 

is a brake that NEEDED?? mines a DX by the way

 

This is what i replaced when I did my swap..
1) timing belt
2) water pump
3) ACT clutch and checked my flywheel
These are probably the hardest things to change with the motor in your car, it is work the time and money when the motor is out and the piece of mind.

 

Look man i'm just tryin ta keep ya safe. Think about it more weight + extra H.P. = less stopping power, especially on the street or in traffic. Now i'm not sayin go out and spent $3-400 on a big brake conversion but at least upgrade your rotors. http://WWW.OPTAUTO.COM sells slotted rotors for a dx for about $60 each. Your stock rotors are fine they'll just wear a little quicker.
