B18A1 ?'s
I was thinking about rebuilding my teg engine, what all would I need to replace?
I have a head from a 99 CRV (B20) so I do not need to know the top end stuff.
I know I will need to replace:
Main Bearings
Rod Bearings
possibly bore .25 over IF I do the below P30 Pistons and rehone
If no bore/P30 then hone only.
Rings
Replace head gasket & head bolts "studs"
Oil Pan gasket
I am also thinking about using USDM B16A (P30) Pistons in it to yield higher compression, has anyone done this and is it just drop-in?
I would leave stock Revlimiter in effect.

basically should I fix this one or try to find a used LS short/longblock?

that was what I was thinking, haven't looked TO much but I am wanting a stock bottom end as I already have a head and I would like lower milage also if I go that route, and anyone know what needs to be done to be a b20 into a DA? just drop in and swap sensors?
