Location of Fuel Pump Fuse?
Im looking for the fuel pump fuse so I can remove it until I can get a switch wired inline..
I checked my owners manual, along w/search and I can't seem to find it anywhere. I looked in both interior and underhood boxes..
Anyone know where the fuel pump fuse is?
Secondly, i found the Starter Signal fuse..I was thinking of removing that so the car won't turn over, but would my alarm be able to arm if I was to remove it??
EDIT..I tried taking pics of the owners manual, but they came out way to blurry.
TIA

Is that a 97?
I know things changed a bit from year to year but I hahe a helms and all the supplements... I'll look. Ed
P.S. Looks like it goes through the main PGM FI relay, but starts as under dash fuse 18 (7.5 A) for the starter. HTH eD

Fuel pump fused is located underneath the dash where your legs are. It's in that fusebox, if I remember, the middle row and 2nd or 3rd from the left. Should be a blue 10a fuse? I take it out everytime I leave the car.

Ok, I after pulling it *see post above* it started, but I did not hear the pump prime. I let it run for a bit..
However I remember reading that w/the fuel pump switch the car will start, but then die shortly after? is the same thing true w/the starter fuse I pulled (14 7.5a)?

I would think that with the "starter" fuse and PGM FI relay fuse it wouldn't start at all.
I was looking at the wiring diagram and not the fuse info in my original post.
Try the other one I'd first mentioned?

Ok...#18 just stops the window, fuel pump is still priming and it still turns over.
#14 as stated earlier primes the fuel pump when it is removed as well, I confused the fuel pump w/the damn antenna
anyone else know which fuse it is? or is my car just posessed?
I found this picture here from a write up, but the car shown is a OBDI EG.
Chris, ya there buddy? is that the fuse that kept blowing on you?
Also Ed, you think you could recheck that diagram you have for me pweez

while we are waiting, here's a good write up on the fuel pump kill http://www.courtlukens.com/cutoff_switch.htm
for the windows the fuses are 18 and 13..so if you just trace the wiring from the fuse back to the desired location of the switch you can rig it up there..
I found one for the starter kill but now I can't seem to find it. However if you just pull your steering column and follow the wiring from the ignition w/the same concept.
