Ls tranny or JDM ys1 ???

I currently have a jdm ys1 from my all motor setup running my turbo setup. Im getting threw the 1/4 mile top of 4th sometimes having to shift to 5th. the gearing seems right but would an ls tranny help me in anyway? with another 7lbs of boost on race gas I will probley be back to shifting 5th again? Any comments are welcome. rob

Use a taller tire and you should be fine.

Im running 24.5s right now. Go bigger?

Yep...I am running the same trans and will be running 25's. Should probrably go bigger due to the power I expect to make but I want to save some tranny parts if possible.

go with a 25 and build your head so you can have a higher redline. keep the short gears for accelleration..get a 25 slick and get like a 9300rpm redline. then you should be set.
