yes, please post pics of cars with CF hoods that have been in accidents/crashes with frontal damage (head-on would be best)


ALSO, if u can, please tell me who made these CF hoods.......
and if any adjustments had to be made to be fitted onto the car

 

There was a post of someone's s13 crashed .. kinda minor bumper was hangin off healdights were busted but the c/f hood was just sitting there saying hello.. I shall find and post!

i wanna see whats up with it to...... thinking of going CF with my hood also

 

heeere we go.. I was searching for about 10 minutes before I realized I had just saved it the other day.. haha. .. also another thing.. my hood has popped up me before of not being locked [ ] and the windshield cracked pretty hard I was doing about 85-90.. The hood is completely fine, just the clear coat is cracked.. who cares though I'm getting it painted blue over summer hopefully when the rest gets paitnd.

thats not pretty. atleast one headlight is still good

 

haha I don't think you needed to quote the pic.. anyway yeah that sux0rs it's kinda hard to find one headlight..

I don't think anyone has "prooven" yet but I dunno maybe people have seen it, no pics, etc. The only way I see it going through the windshield is if you didn't have pins/locks.. and just a a latch...

 

i just wrecked my 90 crx with a vis invader hood........... i was doing 55, when a dumb *** pulled out infront of me. the hood walk away with a minor crack. totalled the car

I don't have any pics but i have seen some on here but i don't remember what the name of the thread

 

heres pics of my accident of my prelude hit a guard rail at 45ish R.I.P. my love.

As you can see the Hood is clearly cracked, it cracked through the weave the resin and the clearcoat. It was cracked underneath, you can clearly see from the pic that CF hoods do crack and this is a VIS hood by the way.

The car has been totaled and as you can clearly see the hood is cracked. Painting it would be retarded.

this was my buddies car after he went under the back of a ford ranger. the hod split in half.

 

damn, those are some really strong hoods, I thought they would be more brittle.

thats why f1 cars are made almost all out of cf
