Default Help - Raising Accord

I need some advice on raising my 97 Accord back to stock height. I currently have neuspeed race springs with tokico shocks. Do I need to install new shocks if I want to put the stock springs back on? I heard that you need to replace the shocks if its been lowered for too long. Or would it be better buying adjustable coilovers and leaving them on the max height? Any other suggestions on the easiest/cheapest way to bring it back up?

If you want to raise your car up to stock height, you could just use your stock shocks and struts, if they aren't blown yet. I hope you didn't use your stock shocks with those neuspeeds, because the big drop would blow them fast.

Thanks HAccord. Unfortunately, I did use my stock shocks and struts and replaced after blowing them. Would I have to replace them again? If so, how much does it run?

you can use your performance shocks with stock springs. The ride will be more sporty but not uncomfortable at all. With that setup....technically, you could race in "show-room stock"..

Hmm, maybe you should buy some skunk2 coilovers or some other coilovers. Does it snow alot where you live or something?

he lives in irvine, socal-unless going to big bear lake or lake tahoe, it's never gonna snow there.

stock spring and tokico blue is fine, they aint that much better or stiffer than stock damper anyway

thanks iam7head. So I could use stock springs with the tokico shocks that i've been using? I heard that since the tokico shocks are settled in with the neuspeed springs (4 yrs), I would have to replace both shocks and struts. Is this true?

tokico is self adjusting, it's made to put in lowered car with bigger rims.

take them out, if they are still in good shape, not bent shaft, no oil leaks, no damage to the polished piston shalf then they are good to go
