Ok, first off I was really interested in the LS/Vtec myself but in the end decided it was not for me because of the stability problems. Even though most people tell you if you build it right it will work, yeah it'll work for a little while, but the GSR head is not natural on the ls block, if it was meant to be there, then it would be there. There are many more cons thatn pros in my opinion on this setup, and I think it would be cheaper to build a turbo and you would get more power to since most frankensteins only get 160-200whp unlike turbos 180+

but if you must do it then there are some more things you must get other than the GSR head. You have to get a GSR ecu, your block has to be tapped, GSR water pump, VTEC parts and pumps, GSR timing belt, and lots more here is a website with alot of ls/vtec info http://www.ee.ucla.edu/~davekim/lsvtec/
I would strongly suggest that you NOT raise the redline on the ls/vtec because on stock internals you are gonna break some **** as if the car didnt have enough problems.

Well if you are gonna do this, please make sure that you have a very experienced person do this for you, my friend was gonna do it for me(he has done it a few times and knows his ****) but he advised me to not do it because it is not good for daily driven cars, other than the fact that it sounds horrible when it revs up. My final words are, for daily driven, get a engine swap or turbo for the money, but if this is your project/drag car/not daily driven, then buy all means do the ls/vtec
sorry for the long post, just trying to look out for ya, cos I know this costs a **** load of money

TypeC site is good. Here's another one: http://www.geocities.com/thelsvtec/
However there are a few things you may want to know. I posted this previously, so forgive me for repeating myself.

You'll need the upper two pieces of the timing belt cover. Your b18b one won't fit. Also you'll need a dremel to modify the b18c one.

You'll need the gsr upper power steering pump support bracket (if you want to keep power steering). Your old one won't fit.

You'll need 1/8 female bspt to 1/8 male npt and 1/8 female npt to 1/8 male bspt. Summit carries them for 10 bucks a piece, but good luck finding someone that will know what you're talking about. Only one out of three people knew anything about pipe threads.

Parker has these fittings for less than 3 dollars a piece.

If your head is jdm, you'll have to replace the throttle piece the cable attaches to with yours. The jdm ones are set up to accept the cable from the passenger side of the car.

You should be okay with the dist wire harness, but if you get a diff head with a diff type of dist harness, no biggie. The plugs can be easily switched.

Use new belts (of course) and you might want to get a belt tension measurer in advance. It'll make things easier. Get the timing belt for whatever water pump you're running. Get any vtec oil pump.

You might want to get the valve adjustment special tool. You don't have to, but it's only 40 bucks and it'll make this whole experience more pleasant.

Things you may not wanna do...
Don't try the oil squirters. You'll have to custom fab some spacers and there's not much room to screw it up. It'll be a major PITA.
You may wanna try the gsr oil cooler. I'm doing this right now and haven't figured it out yet. The gsrs run a diffent thermostat housing and the water pipe that goes from the water pump to the thermostat has either one or two more outlets (depends on the year). I'm still trying to figura a way to make this work.

External oil cooler and remote filter relocator. You'll lose your wiper fluid resouviour (unles you relocate it as well) to make room for the remote filter mount. Making room for a true cool 48 row cooler is a PITA. I'm still working on this as well. I'm gonna have to move the condensor or do some welding

Since you have a 95, odds are you will discover some of your engine/tranny mount are in less than ideal shape. For any honda parts you'll need, I'd go to Mike K. at naples. He will hook you up with great prices and it's always nice to talk to a parts person that knows his $h!t.

Hope this helps. Email (jeffm@rocktmail.com) me if you got any more q's. Good luck.
