s2k or 350Z
i have less respect for the 350z. when i had my hatch with a swap it was nothing compared to it. it ran somewhere around a high to low 14. i duno if the person knew how to drive, but i wasnt impressed
How can you argue the sheer beauty of the S2k's drivetrain and styling? it's just so very nice. The Z has gobs of tourque (but less impressive power/liter obviously), but it looks too plastic for me. Personally, I couldn't deny a factory 9,000 RPM factory job. The Z redlines.......before 7......huh? and it's N/A? weird....
I have a best motoring video where both cars are in a battle together, and they seem pretty evenly matched (except there was a skyline camera car between them). but if you're a pure drag or drift kinda guy, then the Z is probably the only choice. right? anyway....you just can't argue with this --->

It has a higher redline because the engine's stroke is longer than the short-stroke honda damnit..
And engine redline's don't necesarily matter in speed.. DAMN, just because it's got 9,000RPM's doesn't mean u're the king
And so what if the power/liter is less
are you one of those ricers that think you own the road with your 1.6liter SI that has 160HP? oh no. 100hp per liter, shiet you must be M4AD t1T3 y0!
Redline and HP/Liter aren't really good ways of telling how fast the car is buddy.
The point is .. both those cars are amazing and have good potential. Although I would rather have a hardtop s2000 over a Z.. they both perform similarly. it all depends on which one you think looks nicer than the other and if you would rather pick up a nissan over a honda.

thats why i chose the s2. i love the hardtop. and another plus is i get to hit 9k safely. it depends all on your taste. also, its your money not theres. so i guess whatever fits your taste, your money is best on that.

Shut up RICER ....hp/liter mean absolutely nothing, when comparing it to a car like the 350z ....

You have anger issues bud, and you didn't make sense until you took a deep breath and typed your last paragraph. Try talking to people instead of yelling at them because they are overwhelmed with high redlines. Also I dont think its fair to call someone a ricer because of their lack of knowledge... They may just not be as much of a Techie gear head as some!
Happy Holidays!

yes, both cars are nice, and yes, they both have good potential. NO, THEY DON'T PERFORM SIMILARLY. the Z has so much more torque than the s2000. with the Z, you can pretty much stand on the throttle and go without changing gears. it has so much more low end, and is much better off the line. the s2000 makes all its power at the top of the powerband, of course. you don't really start moving until like 5 or 6k rpms. its fine to downshift and rev the engine in the s2000. lots of fun i'm sure. the Z has more practical power. much more fun to drive in traffic and for everyday driving, because you can just mash the pedal and go.
its about what kind of engine you want. if you want a high revving 4 cylinder that screams on the top end, go with the s2000. if you want a powerful 6 cylinder with lots of low end, go with the Z. the s2000 is a bit faster in the 1/4 mile. 2/10ths faster i believe. i would pick the s2000 personally, but you might not want the same things as i want. and don't pay attention to hp per liter arguements. pay attention to where the cars make power, how you would drive it, and which you think looks more pleasing.

who geeze, chill out. First of all, I'm no ricer!
Second of all, I realize that the 350Z is more powerful, so just let me elaborate.
All I am saying is that when one of the two cars in question is packing the most powerful per liter production engine in the world, you shouldn't just ignore the beauty of it, just because the other car's engine is bigger. If the S2k can keep up in all situations with the Z, using 1.5 liters less displacement (that's a whole engine by itself) well, am I the only one that finds that cool?
Now, if you respect formula 1 engines that make the most insane n/a power/liter numbers, and rev to a smooth 19,000 rpm's, then why deny the S2k? it is just a beautiful thing.
Don't get me wrong though, the Z is a great car too, but it just doesn't instill the same passionate feeling the honda would to me, that's all. It's one of those, if I'm wrong I don't wanna be right kinda things. Frankly I'm just glad japanese companies are making sweet FR's again.

LOL - He actually used "u're" in a sentence........ that is just great. That is so way cooler then the S2k or the 350Z..........
