Question with my swap...JDM B16A head w\ del sol B16A3 block...?!?!?!
ok so i took off the exhaust manifold cover and i looked at the head to see what year B16A3 i have...the head has a 8\9...meaning 89 right? the block has stamped on it B16A3 so i was pretty sure thats what i had. my question is it possible to have a jdm 0BD0 b16 head with a del sol B16A3 block??? the shop that did my swap had it wired as OBD0 so now i'm guessing(my old assumption was that the shop had a del sol motor B16A3 and wired it OBD0) that he wired it OBD0 because he had the head along with manifold\distributor\ecu from a jdm B16A and the bottem end was missing so he used one from a del sol...hence why it says B16A3 on the block? well is this do-able? cause i'mreally confused. ok well thanks for the help...
The B16A3 was found in the USDM Del Sol VTEC models. Any B series VTEC head will bolt to it, so there's no doubt that you probably have a first gen B16A head. What year/model car is this setup installed in?
i have a 88 hf. yea i didn't know there inter-changable like that but thanks for the clear up. one more thing...concerning parts...like say i get some camshafts...would they be for a del sol b16 or what? or would it matter?

Yes they will. You can also use ITR, CTR or even GSR cams if you want.
