Default swapping a delsol 1.6 vtec into a dx

a friend of mine has a delsol si with a spun rod bearing that he is giving to me. Fixing the bearing is no problem, but i would like to put it in my civic dx. What id like to know is if my cai will fit right, my header, and the fuel pressure regulator.
also if ther is anything i can a bove and beyond while replacing..... such as apiurchasing a reprogrammed ecu, or going with a msd ignition (or something else if you know of something better or if not worth it)and if ill need anything i may not think of

your header is not going to fit. not sure about the cai but probably will fit.
remember when you swap the del sol dohc vtec motor in your dx, you need a gsr shift linkage.

i'm not sure but wasn't the si offered as a sohc and dohc vtec? if it is a sohc d-series motor than u will be able to use your headers and intake. u could just get an ecu from a car with vtec.

what year DX is this motor going in to? 92-95..very easy to reprogram your computer. 96-00... a little bit harder. Easiest thing is to run a obd2-obd1 harness in that case.

Most any shops can reprogram (or knows someone that can reprogram) an obd1 computer

just get an 92-95 ex or delsol ecu they are pretty cheap i would think it would be cheaper or about the same amount of money as having your ecu reprogrammed.

Yea your best bet is just to get a 92-95 EX/Si ECU, I see them for pretty cheap on the parts trader, plus you have the benefit of an OBD-I ECU which is reprogrammable unlike OBD-II ECU's.
