ECU, wiring harness-unless you want to wire up Vtec manually, and that's it. Are you getting a tranny too? I hope so, you don't want your DX tranny with an SOHC vtec engine. Axels will be the same though.

Don't for get stickers and emblems - got to have that. Otherwise vtec will not engage. j/k
First figure what engine you want to drop, i.e. B16A2, B18C1, etc.

He's getting an SOHC vtec powerplant. You should be able to pick up a complete d16z6 swap(engine, tranny, ecu, harness, axels), everything you need, with under 120k for about 5-750 bucks. They're pretty plentiful these days, and a very good engine. Check out SPade's post on D series upgrades. Use the search function

In that case you would need an OBD 2 to OBD1 harness adapter thingy (can't seem to think of the term I'm looking for right now ). Not worth it IMHO; you'd be better off just finding a D16Z6 swap, which like someone else said can be had for cheap these days, since everyone keeps junking perfectly good D16s for B series, etc

or... you could just get a vtec head.. ex tranny (not necessary but suggested).. and a vtec controller.. and have a mine-me... but just my .02... you can get a vtec head off ebay for around 200.. and a used vtec controller for 200-300... or go get a new one
