D16y8 Questions
i just found a d16y8 motor at one of the local wrecking yards, and the guy said he doesnt know what year it is and miles it has, but i he said he would sell me the block and head, with valve cover, for 100 dollars!
He did say it had a light tick in the top end tho!
would this be a steal or no?
please someone advise me on this cause i wanna go get it today!

even if the head is junk could i sell the two for more than 100 bucks?

d16y8's came in the 99-00 ex civic. not sure if it came in anything else or not... as for selling it for more than 100?.. im sure u can.

D16Y8 = 1996-00 EX and 96-97 Del Sol Si
If you are getting a complete longblock for $100 then yes that is a very good deal. The ticking might just be fixed with a simple valve adjustment.
