Hondata ecu??????
HI- I just bought a 92 lude with an H22A4 swapped in. It has a P28 ecu in it converted to hondata STAGE 2. My question is what can I use this for. I have that little blue interface box where u can plug a computer into. What do i need to get to use this to plug into my laptop and can i change things on the computer like vtec and whatnot???? I dont konw much about hondata, and i hate buying things that have already been modded but i need to figure all this out so its mine, so help guys...............
-also, who knows the pins for a tac, and a battery voltage gauge, and air fuel??

First off, I would not try to adjust anything using a laptop!!!!!!! It should be done by a experienced tuner!!!!! You would ave to get the software from Hondata, inorder to tune anything.
Second, you would probably notice a bigger difference in your low end if you got a p72 to control your IBA's.

my car has too much low end, when i floor it i spin threw first alot of the time. I thnk it runs just fine, i just wanna konw how i can datalog and do all that stuff. And i know u can change vtec engagement and ****.
OKAY...... I think everyones car spins in first gear when they floor it.... You wont be able to do anything with Hondata with out getting program from Hondata...
actually, if they dont have enough low end torque it aint gonna spin . most cars wont spin if ur just drivin along and floor it in 1st. ****, u have an attitude.
Have both.. read sig.... not trying to be rude, just trying ot help you out!!!! You loss lower end with p28, because IAB's stay open at all times.. P72 is only ecu that gives you control of them... If you get a turbo, or if your car is turboed, p28 will do! Again, not trying to get an attitude, just trying to give you advise on your car!
As far as your other question, you have to contact Hondata to get software to change settings.

hmmm, the guy that built this car actually has the rubber hose that runs to the IAB plugged up, He says this keeps it open at all times giving it better low end, is this correct?

that's right, not many cars can spin the tires from a roll in 1st...mine can
Anyways, Hondata by far is one of the best tuning system you can have on a Honda. Don't sell it or mess around with it. Since you have a Stage 2 you can't tune it yourself, only Stage 4 users can burn ROMs. Those are the old systems, the new setups are called S100 and S200 but it doesn't matter to you.
http://www.hondata.com will tell you all about the system. And will have links to Hondata dealers and tuners in your area.
As you add a group of mods, go back to the hondata tuner and get it re-tuned. It won't costs that much as it's already set up, and you will make the most all motor power with a well tuned hondata system

If it was tuned with them open all the time, just leave it the way it is. Mine are open all the time too, I make 150tq at the wheels at 3000rpms so I don't think I'm missing anything there.
hatch what mods are on the Preludee anyway? Just trying to figure out why they bought a hondata system

Weird. I guess it was for the RC 370cc injectors...seems a little overkill for the system..BUT..
if you were planning to modify the car I would buy ALL the bolt-ons you can, like an SMSP header, high flo cat, Greddy exhaust or something 2.5", cams and cam gears, and then go in for hondata tuning. you'll be pretty happy with the results. well not Camaro SS happy, but it will be fast for a prelude.
