Default Can I use old pistons in a new engine ???

I have a set of SRP piston in my engine right now but I have to rebuit the engine... the pistons maybe have like max 15 000 miles... The engine is a D16Z6.

I have a brand new block who doesnt have been oversized ... so could I use my piston with OEM Honda rings in the new engine or I should use brand new piston ???

Any opinion could be great !

Thank...

Yeah... you can. Just check the piston/wall clearances.

If you plan on using OEM Honda rings, you should at least check the ring-to-ring groove clearances and check to see if the clearances and ring thicknesses are up to JE's specs. Sometimes forged pistons will use different thicknesses of rings.

You can reuse old pistons, however you may want to take them to a machine shop & have them reconditioned & cleaned.

Reconditioned would mean that they measure them with a micrometer for roundness, and then glass bead them to remove dirt & carbon deposits.
