anyone running 205 tires
anyone out there running 205 width tires on their lowered civic. if so what is your offset on your rims and do they tuck under the fender or rub the fender?? also is your camber corrected to the factory setting??????/
i have 205/15/15 azenis mounted on slipstreams with a +40 offset i believe...
im dropped all the way in the back on tein SS, it tucks in and doesn't rub.
im dropped almost all the way in the front on tein SS (the coilovers drop more in the front, thats why its not all the way down), they tuck in and rubbed like a BITCH going around turns. i had to take out my front fender lining and pound a metal lip flush with the inner fender. it works though.
my camber is -2.5 degrees rear and -1.9 degrees front. don't **** with the camber once you're lowered or you WILL rub...

How the hell can you drive the car with the Teins ALL the way down in the back and almost the same in the front? I have like 2" of threads left to lower my hatch, but I am right at what Tein recommends for the drop and it's low enough for me. Do you have any pics of your car dumped that low? I'm on 205/45/16's with a +40 offset. I ordered a +45 but that is not what I recieved. Anyhow, I rub sometimes when making a hard U-turn, on some dips, and usally every damn dip if my brother or something with a little weight is in the rear. My camber is at 1.4 and I believe 1.6. Not sure which is front and rear, but good enough for me as I keep the toe in spec and rotate the tires every 3k.

mines rub on the left when i turn hard or hit a bump when turning. and it also rubs when i back up full lock on the right side when i turn the wheel to the left
you guys sure do like negative camber. i tried the negative camber set up and it ate up my tires too fast. i have mine set at the factory setting now but also now have rubbing in the rear. i just needed to know what offset to get so that i don't rub. i wanted +48 or +50 but i heard that the rims will rub the strut tower if it is lowered. i don't think +45 will solve my problem. any input????????? i am currently running a +42 offset

TOE + negative camber eats tires. get your toe set to 0 all around, and you wont have any problems.[/QUOTE]

well ****, i guess i am just going to have to accept the rubbing. there doesn't seem to be an offset that will accomidate a 205 wide tire on a lowered civic with corrected camber. you guys have negative camber and still rub.

like i said man i don't rub (anymore). and there is nothing wrong with m4d negative camber y0 unless your toe is jacked up.
don't worry about it..

I use 205/50-15s on my Rota C8s. I'm not sure what offset they are, though, because I got the wheels used and didn't bother asking. They rub the fender lining at times. My EJ8 is lowered 2.5" in front and 2.25" in the rear ... no wheel tuck. Front camber is about -2 and the rear is around -3. It doesn't look like -3 in the back, but the alignment shop's spec sheet says that's what it is.
runnin bridgestone S0-3's, 205.50ZR15. dropped about 3 inches in front, about 2.5 in the rear. rubs in the front on U-turns, but on the inside, not on the outer fender.
lip got caught on a driveway and made my bumper sag down.
drop in the rear
i wanna go lower hehe.
*edit* no camber kits installed either. getting on for the rear, and maybe for the front to correct just a little bit. how can i fix my toe? will i need a kit? does toe only affect the rear or the front as well?

don't need a kit for toe... it affects front and rear... my rear ti(y)res were fine with -2.5 camber with toe in spec but my fronts got eaten up.

I have 205/50/15 kuhmo 712's on my slipstreams with a 1.75" drop in the front and 1.5" in the rear. I just ordered some azenis though. Get your toe set to 0 and you should be fine.
